Presidents’ Report for the Year ended 31 March 2022

It is my pleasure to write the Presidents’ report for the year ended 31 March 2022. With Covid 19 continuing to make its presence felt making during the year it has been a very quiet year with little activity. However the dedicated team on the committee have continued to maintain the Church and host the few activities that have been possible during the year.

During the past year there was 1 wedding compared to 7 the year before and several catered lunches for various groups.

Sadly due to the Covid restrictions during the year we were unable to engage with the community groups that we would have in the past.

During the year, several projects were undertaken.

  1. A garden edging has been installed around the oak tree garden at the front making it easier for the dedicated group of gardeners and the lawnmowing contractor to keep the grounds looking magnificent. Two loads of mulch were spread on the back garden
  2. A thorough clean of the outside of the church was undertaken and any paint imperfections were touched up because of thts clean.

On the fundraising front after considerable thought and discussion we made the difficult decision to not continue with the organization and provision of marshals at the Tuff Guy and Gel competition. It was a decision that we did not make lightly but with more and more of our dedicated group of helpers becoming unable to help us anymore (we had been undertaking this fundraiser for the last 12 years ) we felt that we would be unable to guarantee the provision of enough marshals.

i would like to thank the gardening group who tirelessly maintain the church grounds. They look magnificent.

And all of you that regularly do something to help, be it a little or a lot, it all helps to keep the church running and in such good condition. There are so many of you that I cannot record you all, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Finally, I would to thank the hardworking committee that have supported me throughout the year. Your help and support is very much appreciated.
