President's Report for the year ended 31 March 2023

As I sat down to write my President’s report for the year ended 31 March 2023, I reflected on the pleasure the church has given the wider community over the past year. Families undertaking the last wishes of loved family members by burying their loved ones ashes in a family plot, couples getting married, Christmas Carol Night, Country and Western Concerts right down to people just taking a stroll around the Churchyard reading the headstones, The heartwarming part of all of this is that all of these activities are possible because of a small team of dedicated people who continue, with the help of the wider community, to devote hours of their leisure time to the Church.

During the year, several projects were undertaken

  1. A garden edging has been installed around the kauri tree garden at the front, making it easier for the dedicated group of gardeners and the lawnmowing contractor to keep the grounds looking magnificent.
  2. Cushions were made for the pews.

Once again, I would like to thank the gardening group who tirelessly maintain the Church grounds. They look magnificent.

And all of you who regularly do something to help, be it a little or a lot, it all helps to keep the Church running and in such good condition. There are so many of you that I cannot record you all, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Finally, I would like to thank the hardworking committee who have supported me throughout the year. Your help and support are very much appreciated.
